Regular Expressions¶
Patterns and their according DFAs are specified in terms of regular expressions []. The syntax follows a scheme that has been popularized by the tool ‘lex’ []. It includes elements of extended POSIX regular expressions [] and POSIX bracket expressions. Additionally provides commands to access the Unicode Properties database [1], to define fuzzy matching [] based on an edit distance [] from a nominal pattern, and to define patterns in DNA and RNA.
